Two held with 74 gm heroin-like substance in Bishnah

JAMMU, Dec 10: Two alleged drug peddlers were arrested with 74 grams of heroin-like substance in Bishnah area here, officials said.
On noticing police at Pasgal, Bishnah, two individuals, identified as Baru (20) and Mensha (19), both residents of Khad, Vijaypur, tried to flee, but were apprehended by the public and later handed over to the police, they said.
They said when put to search, the police party recovered 74 grams of heroin-like substance from their possession.
Accordingly, the duo was booked in case FIR number 139/2025 under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bishnah and further investigation taken up, officials said. Pertinently, the arrests were made by a team of Police Station Bishnah led by SHO concerned, Inspector Rakesh Singh Jamwal under the supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu, IH Rather.
