JAMMU, July 5: Two individuals were arrested from Amphalla area with 6.37 grams of heroin today.
Acting on specific information, joint teams of District Special Branch (DSB) and Jammu and Kashmir Police intercepted an Alto vehicle (JK20-0040) on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway at Amphalla area, a police official said.
During search of the car, he said, 6.37 grams of heroin was recovered from two individuals travelling in the vehicle.
Accordingly, the police official said that the accused, identified as Anil Kumar of Chatha, Jammu, and Ajay Kumar of Main Bazar, Katra at present Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, were arrested and booked under the relevant sections of the law, with further investigation set into the motion.
