JAMMU, Feb 1: Two alleged drug peddlers were arrested with 15 grams of heroin-like substance in RS Pura area here today, officials said.
During routine naka checking at Badyal Qazian near Grid Station Sunderpur, a team of Police Station RS Pura led by PSI Naresh Kumar under the supervision of SHO concern, Inspector RS Parihar, stopped a scooty for checking, a police official said.
On search of the riders, later identified as Shubham Singh alias Kinu and Rohit Singh alias Laddu, both residents of Makhdoom, Tehsil Suchetgarh, District Jammu, 15 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered, he said.
Accordingly, the police official said that a case FIR number 23/2026 under sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act was registered at Police Station RS Pura and further investigation taken up.
