JAMMU, July 25: Two persons were arrested with 10 rolls of banned Gattu in Janipur area here today.
Koushal Kumar and PK Thapa were found in possession of 10 rolls of banned Gattu, a dangerous material known for causing serious injuries during kite flying, during routine checking by a team of Janipur Police Station led by Inspector Vikram Sharma, SHO Janipur, a police official said.
The accused could not produce any authorisation for possession of the banned material, he said.
Accordingly, they were booked in case FIR number 109/2025 and 110/2025 under the relevant sections of the law registered at Police Station Janipur and further investigation started, said the police official.
