JAMMU, Oct 31: Two persons were held along with around one kilogram of charas from Panthal road in the holy town Katra today.
As per police sources, a police team from Katra police station laid a naka on Panthal road and arrested two narcotic smugglers with 950 grams of charas.
The accused have been identified as Ajay Kumar, son of Bodh Raj and Shakti Sharma, son of Subash, both residents of Sandhrani.
A case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Katra police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Katra police station Ajay Bhatt made the arrest under the supervision of SP Katra Kulbir Singh.
