JAMMU, Aug 17: Two individuals were found dead under mysterious circumstances at Krishna Nagar and Railway Station areas of Jammu district today.
One Rohit Mehra (26) son of late Girdhari Lal of Krishna Nagar was found unconscious in his locality, a police official said.
He was taken to Government Medical College Jammu by his sister, where he was declared as dead on arrival by the doctors, he said.
Another individual, identified as Raj Kishore Marandi (25) of Jharkhand was discovered in an unconscious state by some passerby at Jammu Railway Station, who informed police.
He was also declared dead on arrival at Government Medical College Jammu by the team of doctors, the police official said.
While the bodies of the deceased individuals have been shifted to the mortuary of the Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for conducting the post-mortem examinations, inquest proceedings have been initiated at Police Stations Nowabad and GRP Jammu to ascertain the cause of their deaths.
