KISHTWAR, Jan 24: Two forest officers were suspended over allegations of green felling of Cedrus Deodar in Lidra Top above Waza Gwari area of Kishtwar district today.
As per an order issued by DC Kishtwar, Rajesh Kumar Shavan, the suspended officials, including Forester Ikhlaq Hussain and Forest Guard Showkat Ali shall remain attached to the office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, pending further investigation into the matter.
Meanwhile, the Divisional Forest Officer Kishtwar has been asked to submit a detailed report and recommendations within three days.
