SAMBA, July 6: Two alleged drug peddlers were arrested with 13.21 grams of heroin-like-substance from Bari Brahamana area here today.
During routine patrolling in Bari Brahamana area, a party of Bari Brahamana Police Station intercepted an Alto car (JK20A-9454) for checking, a police official said.
On search of the vehicle, he said, 13.21 grams of heroin-like-substance was recovered from the possession of two persons travelling in the car. They were identified as Rahul Singh of Chak Avtara, Bishnah, and Sunil Kumar of Lower Canal, Bishnah.
Accordingly, the accused were arrested and booked in case FIR number 93/2025 under sections 8/21/22/25/29 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bari Brahamana and further investigation taken up. The arrests were made under the overall supervision of SSP Samba Virinder Manhas.
