Two drug peddlers held with heroin in Bari Brahmana

SAMBA, June 25: Samba Police has arrested two drug peddlers and recovered approximately 12.89 grams of heroin-like substance from their possession in Bari Brahmana area.
Acting on specific inputs received from reliable sources, a special naka was laid near Dabur factory in Bari Brahmana area by a police team led by SHO Police Station Bari Brahmana.
During the naka checking, an Alto car bearing registration number JK21H-2989 was intercepted. On thorough checking, police recovered around 12.89 grams of heroin (chitta) from the occupants of the vehicle.
The arrested accused have been identified as Mohd Imran, son of Allha Rakha, resident of Khada Madana, presently residing in Chowadhi, Jammu and Lal Hussain, son of Mohd Hussain, also a resident of Chowadhi, Jammu.
Police have registered a case under FIR Number 88/2025 under relevant sections of the NDPS Act (8/21/22/25/29) at Police Station Bari Brahmana. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the source of the contraband and to unearth any possible links in the drug network. The arrests were made under the overall supervision of SSP Samba Virinder Manhas.
