JAMMU, June 13: Two drug peddlers were arrested with 2.05 kilograms of Ganja-like-substance in RS Pura area here today.
During routine patrolling near Government Higher Secondary School Chakrohi, a team of Police Station RS Pura, led by SHO RS Pura, RS Parihar and assisted by incharge Border Police Post Chakrohi, PSI Majid Shafi intercepted two suspicious individuals, a police official said.
On being searched, police recovered 2.05 kilograms of Ganja-like-substance from their possession, he said.
Accordingly, the police official said the accused identified as Gourav Bhagat alias Gharu of Ban Sultan, Miran Sahib and Avinash Kumar alias Tempo of Chandi Mata Mandir, Tehsil Suchetgarh, District Jammu, were arrested and booked in case FIR number 114/2025 under sections 8/20/29 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station RS Pura and further investigation started.
