Two drug peddlers arrested with heroin, cannabis

JAMMU, Mar 17: Sidhra and Narwal Police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered heroin and cannabis from their possessions.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Post Sidhra led by SI Shakil Ahmed under the supervision of SHO Nagrota Inspector Vishav Pratap Singh and SDPO Nagrota Pardeep Kumar laid a naka and intercepted a pedestrian, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 7 grams heroin from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Waseem Ahmed, son of Bashir Ahmed, a resident of Sidhra District Jammu.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Post Narwal led by SI Achal Rana under the supervision of SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Nayat Ali, SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari and SP South Mamta Sharma apprehended a drug peddler and recovered 147 grams cannabis from his possession.
The arrested person was identified as Asif, a resident of Gool District Ramban.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started.
