JAMMU, Jan 31: RS Pura Police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 13 grams heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from RS Pura Police Station laid a naka near Daljeet Chowk and intercepted a car bearing registration number JK20-3056.
During checking, police team recovered 13 grams heroin from the possession of two persons traveling in the car and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Rakesh Gupta of Purana Pind and Amit Kumar alias Deepu of Sidhra.
A case under FIR Number 16/2020 under section 8/20/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at RS Pura Police Station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
Police team led by SHO RS Pura Jai Pal Singh made the arrest under the supervision of ASP RS Pura Sheema Nabi Qasba and SP Headquarters Farooq Qaiser.
