Two drug peddlers arrested with contraband

JAMMU, June 25: Domana and Banihal Police arrested two drug peddlers along with contraband.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Domana led by SHO Inspector Mahesh Sharma and assisted by PSI Nitesh Khajuria laid a naka and apprehended a drug peddler along with 6 grams of heroin.
The arrested person was identified as Mohammad Shabir, son of Zakir Hussain of Tehsil Haveli District Poonch.
A case under FIR Number 172/2021 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
The overall arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Banihal laid a naka at T Chowk and intercepted a pedestrian, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 5020 intoxicant capsules and tablets and 7 banned syrup bottles and arrested the pedestrian.
The accused was identified as Amir Fayaz Pandit, son of Fayaz Ahmed of Kachgari Masjid Fateh Kadal Srinagar.
A case under FIR Number 130/2021 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Banihal and investigation taken up.
The arrest as well as the recovery was made by police party led by SHO Banihal Naeem ul Haq under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Ashish Gupta.
