UDHAMPUR, Dec 30: Police arrested two hardcore drug peddlers during naka checking at Jakhani and recovered 5.98 grams of heroin from their possession.
The duo was riding a motorcycle bearing registration number JK14K-6221, which was intercepted by a Police naka party, led by SHO Udhampur, Purab Singh. During the personal search of the rider and pillion rider, 3.65 grams of heroin was recovered from Rohit Kumar son of Raj Kumar of Chopra Shop, Udhampur and 2.33 grams of heroin was recovered from Vinod Kumar son of Sumer Chand of Chopra Shop, Udhampur totaling 5.98 grams.
Accordingly, a case FIR number 432/2025 U/S 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered and further investigation of the case is underway.
