RAMBAN, Nov 30: A devastating fire on Sunday morning reduced two double-storey residential houses to ash in Gunz Top area of Khari in tehsil Ramban leaving four families homeless.
According to Police, fire erupted at around 7 am in one of the houses located on the hilltop settlement of Gunz Top.
Strong flames quickly spread to an adjoining double-storey structure destroying both the houses before residents or neighbours could bring the fire under control.
The fire hit homes belonged to Mohammad Iqbal, son of Ghulam Qader Khah; Mohammad Rafiq, son of Ghulam Qadir Khah; Mohammad Yousuf, son of Abdul Gani Khah and Mohammad Ashraf, son of Abdul Gani Khah.
Officials stated that due to limited road connectivity in the area, fire tenders were unable to reach the spot, complicating efforts to contain the blaze.
However, there was no loss of life or injury to anyone in the incident.
Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation to ascertain the exact cause of fire.
