JAMMU, Dec 17: In two separate cases of poisoning, two persons died in Jammu and its outskirts.
According to a police official, a woman identified as Rajni Devi (28) wife of Vijay Kumar, resident of Gho Manasa was admitted in Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu yesterday at about 8. 30 pm after she allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at her residence. “However, the woman died late last night”, he added.
A man identified as Shinda (35) son of Tirath Ram, resident of Pouni (Reasi), had also consumed some poisonous substance at his residence yesterday. Since yesterday, he was undergoing treatment here at GMCH Jammu, but he expired today at 7.30 am.
“After completing all medico-legal formalities, the bodies of both the deceased were handed over to their legal heirs for last rites”, the official added.
