JAMMU, May 5: Two persons died and one sustained injuries in separate road accidents in Jammu District, police said.
An unidentified man, approximately 45-year-old, suffered injuries after a scooty was hit by an unknown vehicle at Janipur Road, near High Court Chowk, Jammu.
He was taken to Government Medical College Jammu where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
At Jadh area of Akhnoor, one Vinod (32) son of Gian Chand of Jadh, Akhnoor, suffered injuries after his motorcycle was hit by an unknown vehicle.
He was taken to SDH Akhnoor from where he was later referred to Government Medical College Jammu, where he breathed his last around 12:35 am today.
The bodies of the deceased have been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortems and cases under the relevant sections of the law stand registered at concerned police stations.
Meanwhile, a police cop posted at Police Station Domana also suffered injuries after he was hit by a motorcycle at Muthi Camp area.
The injured is undergoing treatment at Government Medical College Jammu and a case under the relevant sections of the law stands registered at Police Station Domana.
