Two die due to suspected cardiac arrest

JAMMU, June 30: Two men died today due to suspected cardiac arrest in Channi Himmat and Kanachak areas of city outskirts.
According to a police official, a 17-year-old boy namely Ajay Kumar son of Anil Kumar, resident of Nepal (at present Channi Himmat, Jammu), left his house this morning to take a bath at a nearby tube well but was found lying in unconscious condition on the ground later. He was immediately taken to GMC Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
He said after postmortem the body of the deceased was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites while inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC was initiated in this connection at police station Channi Himmat to ascertain reason of the death. “However, it seems that the boy died to suspected cardiac arrest”, he added.
Meanwhile, the dead body of a man was found this afternoon in a field at village Jaffrechack in Marh tehsil. The deceased was identified as Sanjeev Kumar son of Thoru Ram, resident of Paryal and was a daily wager in PDD.
“Prima facie, it appears that the man died due to suspected cardiac arrest,” the police official said, however inquest proceeding in this connection was initiated at police station Kanachak to ascertain actual reason of the death.
