Two-Day Training of Trainers (ToT) Programme Commences at DIET Leh

LEH, Sept 18: The Two-Day Training of Trainers (ToT) Certification Course, jointly organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in collaboration with the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management (ISTM), began today at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh.

A special message from Manoj Srivastava, Director Training, CBSE, was shared with the participants and read out by Gaurav Kr Sharma.

In his message, Manoj Srivastava emphasized that the ToT initiative is part of CBSE’s effort to create a pool of 15,000 national-level resource persons, aligned with the NEP 2020 mandate of 50 hours of Continuous Professional Development (CPD).

He urged participants to go beyond mechanical instruction and embrace the roles of mentors, guides, and facilitators to elevate training standards and foster a culture of excellence.

Bhanu Prabha, Secretary, School Education, Ladakh, in her address, appreciated the collaboration of CBSE and ISTM in conducting the training in Ladakh.

She acknowledged the challenges faced by teachers working in remote villages due to harsh climatic conditions and limited facilities, while lauding their dedication to professional growth and student learning.

On the occasion, Rajiv Manjhi, Director, ISTM, addressed the gathering and shared his insights on capacity building and training methodologies.
