UDHAMPUR, July 3: The two- day annual Sabour Mela at Ladha Dhar of Tehsil Udhampur, culminated today with overwhelming participation of general public and visitors who thronged the mela site from different areas of the district Udhampur and Jammu.
On the concluding day, MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia was the chief guest while DDC Narsoo was the guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest said that such festivals not only fulfil the religious aspirations and spiritual bliss but also provide people hailing from different areas to get a chance to interact together and share their experiences and joys.
He said that these mela are a symbol of our diverse culture and attract tourists as well as help in the socio-economic development of the area.
The DDC Councillor Narsoo thanked District Administration for successful completion of the two day mela. The two days mela witnessed sports activities, folk music and cultural performances by students of different schools of the area which were highly appreciated by the people.
