JAMMU, Oct 5: The two-day Oncology Conference was organized in Jammu with participation from leading cancer specialists across India. The conference focused on the latest developments, challenges, and innovations in cancer treatment.
The event was organized by Dr Deepak Bharti, Senior Consultant, Medical Oncology, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Hospital, Jammu. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Bharti said, “Such academic meetings connect physicians with the latest research and help bring the best treatment practices to patients.”
Across multiple sessions, experts deliberated on lung cancer, breast cancer, gastrointestinal malignancies, head & neck cancers, uro-oncology, hematological cancers, and colorectal cancer. Special emphasis was given to advances in immunotherapy, targeted therapy, robotic surgery, and precision oncology.
A key highlight was the emphasis on the availability of modern therapies in Jammu itself. Dr Bharti and his team are already offering cutting-edge treatments like immunotherapy at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Hospital, ensuring that patients in the region no longer need to travel to metro cities for advanced cancer care.
The conference concluded today with a strong message that such platforms not only enhance doctors’ knowledge but also directly translate into better outcomes for cancer patients.
