Two-day national conference on NCETE-2026 commences at JU

JAMMU, Feb 4: Two-day’s national conference on Emerging Trends in Electronics (NCETE-2026) organized by the Department of Electronics was today commenced at University of Jammu.
The inaugural function was graced by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof Umesh Rai as chief guest and Prof Nandu B Chaure from Savitribai Phule Pune University and Prof B C Yadav from BBAU, Lucknow as guests of honour.
The ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a floral welcome of the dignitaries.
The proceedings began with welcome address by Prof Susheel Kumar Sharma, Convener and Head of the Department, who emphasized the department’s commitment for promoting growth and sustainability through technology.
Prof Nandu B Chaure and Prof B C Yadav addressed the gathering and underscored the need to abreast with latest technological advancements through the conduct of conferences and seminars in the interest of student and research scholars.
In the presidential remarks, Prof Umesh Rai complimented the Department for organizing the conference and emphasized the necessity of reforms in education through activity based experiential learning and the integration of interdisciplinary departments such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics and Electronics for launching skill-oriented courses.
During the day, talks were delivered by Prof Nandu B Chaure, Prof B C Yadav, Dr Rahul Salunke from IIT Jammu, Prof Sumeet Gupta from SMVDU and Prof Naresh Padha.
The event was attended by Prof Parveen Lehana, Prof Rakesh Vaid, Dr Rockey Gupta, Dr Usha Parihar, Vijay Sharma, Prof K K Bamzai, Prof Sanjeev Singh Sambyal, Prof Arun Bharti, Anik Gupta, Prof Ramni Gupta, Prof Vibhakar Mansotra, Dr Dharmender Mangotra and Dr Ravinder Tickoo.
The formal vote of thanks was presented by Dr Rockey Gupta.
