Two-day course on cryptocurrency investigation begins at SKPA

UDHAMPUR, Dec 19: A two-day training course on “Cryptocurrency Investigation” commenced at the Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) here today.
As per a statement, 14 officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Police are participating in the course.
The course was inaugurated by Rajinder Kumar Gupta, SSP and Deputy Director (Indoor Trainings), SKPA.
In his inaugural address, he highlighted the growing challenges posed by crimes related to cryptocurrencies and stressed the need for police officers to stay updated with new technologies and digital financial systems.
He explained key concepts such as cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, public and private keys, digital wallets, and other important aspects related to crypto assets.
Rajinder Kumar Gupta said eminent guest speakers from relevant fields will deliver lectures and share their practical experience during the course to strengthen the participants’ knowledge and investigative skills in handling cryptocurrency-related offences.
The course is being coordinated by Inspector Sanjeet Sharma, with assistance from HC Melisha Devi, both faculty members of the Academy.
