JAMMU, July 23: Two persons including a lady made abortive attempts on their lives by consuming some poisonous substances at their respective residences in Bishnah and Pargwal area of Akhnoor.
According to a police spokesperson, a 25-year-old youth namely Ashwani Kumar son of Janak Raj, a resident of Kalad Biaspur in Bishnah, allegedly tried to end his life by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence following which he was referred to Government Hospital Bishnah from where later he was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu.
A married woman identified as Neelam Devi (30) wife of Rattan Lal, a resident of Pargwal also made suicide bid by consuming some poisonous substance at her home. She was rushed to a nearby Government hospital but later referred to GMCH Jammu.
In both cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance.
