JAMMU, May 7: In separate incidents, a Sarwal youth committed suicide by jumping from a height near Akhnoor bridge while a girl ended her life by consuming some poisonous substance at her house in Rakh Ramgarh, Samba.
According to police, Amit Raina (23), son of P L Raina of Sarwal committed suicide by jumping from a temple near Akhnnor bridge this afternoon. Cause behind the extreme step could not be ascertained.
In another incident, one Satmeet Kour, daughter of Lakshi Singh of Rakh Ramgarh, consumed some poisonous substance her residence this evening. Family members found her lying unconscious and shifted to local hospital where doctors referred her to GMC Jammu. However, she breathed her last on way to hospital.
