RAMBAN, Oct 4: On the directions of SSP Ramban, Arun Gupta, Police here today arrested two bootleggers in separate incidents within the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramban.
In first case, cops from Police Station Ramban, while on a routine patrolling duty, apprehended one Kuldeep Singh, son of Jaswant Singh, a resident of Bali, Gandhi, Tehsil, Ramban while he was illegally selling liquor in the Bowli Bazar area.
Upon his search, cops recovered 43 bottles of illicit liquor.
In another incident, another bootlegger identified as Ravi Kumar, son of Mohinder Kumar, resident of Village Natral, Tehsil Bishnah, Jammu, was apprehended by cops from Police Station Ramban while he was illegally selling liquor.
Police recovered 68 bottles of illicit liquor from his possession.
Police has registered two separate cases under FIRs 206 and 207/2025 under Section 48(a) of the Excise Act at Police Station Ramban and started investigation.
