JAMMU, July 18: Two publications of Voice of Silence, including “Some stray thoughts on being religious man’’ and “Azadi’’ were released at a simple but impressive function here, today.
The books have been written by Prof G K Muju, Editor in chief Voice of Silence. Former Chief Secretary and MLC Vijay Bakaya was the chief guest on the occasion while Maj Gen (retd) B N Dhar presided over the function. General secretary, Press Club, Sohail Kazmi was the guest of honour.
Prof M L Misri and M L Koul read their critical review papers on the two books.
Vijay Bakaya while speaking on the occasion appreciated Prof Muju’s efforts in publishing the two books and said Prof Muju has done a great job by describing the essence of Hinduism.
He said Hinduism has many scripts to follow but Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta is the philosophy of all ethos.
On terrorism he said migration was great tragedy and time has come when the displaced people should come out of this victimization. “The community has replanted itself on other soil and proved its mettle. But the rose gives much fragrance on its own soil and it is not the time to scratch our wounds but to make a leap forward’’, he added.
Maj Gen (retd) B N Dhar in his presidential speech appreciated the efforts of author to express his views about religious mind and meaning of Azadi taking it to spiritual plane.
