JAMMU, Jan 5: Two individuals were booked in Jammu district for alleged violation of the tenant verification order issued by the District Magistrate.
Two cases FIR numbers 09/2026 and 11/2026 under section 223 BNS were registered against Shakeela, resident of Rajiv Nagar, and Rohit Kumar, resident of Narwal, at Police Station Bahu Fort for their failure in sharing the details of their tenants with the police authorities, a police official said.
The action was taken by a team of Police Post Narwal, led by incharge Police Post concern, under the supervision of SDPO East, SP City South, and SSP Jammu.
“These cases have been registered as part of a routine verification and enforcement drive to ensure strict compliance with tenant verification norms, particularly in view of the Republic Day celebrations and the associated security measures,” the police official said.
