Two booked for selling banned nylon thread rolls

JAMMU, Aug 23: Janipur Police booked two persons for selling banned nylon thread and violating the District Magistrate’s order.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Janipur led by SHO Inspector Nayat Ali under the supervision of SDPO West Rahul Nagar and SP City Mohita Sharma conducted raids and booked two persons for selling banned nylon thread. From their possession, police team recovered 26 rolls of banned nylon threads.
The apprehended persons were identified as Suresh Sanson, son of Om Parkash of Mohalla Afghana District Jammu and Ashok Kumar, son of Prem Chand of Pakki Dakki, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 95/2021 under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Janipur and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
It is pertinent to mention here that District Magistrate Jammu has banned the sale of nylon/synthetic threads in view of ongoing kite festivals.
