Two arrested with sharp edged weapon, pistol, live rounds

JAMMU, July 20: Satwari Police arrested two criminals and recovered a sharp edged weapon, country made pistol and two live rounds from their possession.
As per police sources, on reliable information a team from Police Station Satwari led by SHO Inspector Sameer Jiilani under the supervision of SDPO South Sachit Sharma and SP South Mamta Sharma laid a naka at Babliana and intercepted two pedestrians, who were moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered sharp edged weapon, a country made pistol and two live rounds from the possession of the pedestrians and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Gaganpreet Singh, a resident of Upper Gadigarh District Jammu and Sandeep Singh Nagra, a resident of Narwal Pain District Jammu.
A case FIR Number 134/2022 under sections 3/25 Arms Act and 4/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Satwari and investigation started.
