JAMMU, Nov 18: Bhaderwah police arrested two persons for smuggling bovine animals.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Bhaderwah police station laid a naka at Nalthi and intercepted two persons carrying flock of bovine animals.
During questioning, the persons failed to give satisfactory reply and police cops arrested them. Five bovine animals were rescued from their possession.
The accused were trying to smuggle the bovine animals from Bani, Kathua to Bhaderwah, but police foiled their bid.
A case under FIR Number 136/16 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered against them at Bhaderwah police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bhaderwah Inspector Jatinder Sambyal made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Bhaderwah Sajjad Khan, Additional SP Bhaderwah Sargun Shukla and SSP Doda Zahid Naseem Manhas.
