JAMMU, May 30: Gujjar Nagar police arrested two persons along with 50 grams heroin.
As per official sources, during patrolling a team from Gujjar Nagar police post intercepted auto rickshaw bearing registration number JK02AA-6966 at Samadhian Road with two persons sitting in it.
During checking, police recovered 50 grams heroin from the possession of the persons and arrested them on the spot.
The accused have been identified as Ashwani Kumar, son of Ram Lal, a resident of Bagh-e-Bahu and Sanjeev Kumar, son of Swaran Dass of district Kathua.
A case under FIR Number 57/16 under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Peer Mitha police station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Gujjar Nagar police post SI Shamim Ahmed made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Peer Mitha Inspector Javid Malik, SDPO North Vivek Shekher Sharma and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
