Tuck Shop by IRCS inaugurated at attendant Sarai

JAMMU, Aug 2: Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), J&K here today inaugurated a Tuck Shop at the Red Cross Attendant Sarai, Maheshpura Chowk to provide essential items and daily-use products at nominal charges, ensuring convenience for those residing at the Sarai during medical treatments.
Speaking at the launch, Rohit Khajuria, General Secretary, IRCS J&K said, “this small but meaningful step reflects our commitment to improve the overall well-being of the people we serve. The tuck shop is a practical solution to a recurring problem, especially for patients and attendants who cannot afford to leave the Sarai frequently or are not familiar with city’s market.”
A handout stated that the shop will offer a variety of daily-use items including packaged food, toiletries and hygiene items, over-the-counter health products, sanitary products and other essentials.
The initiative not only brings convenience but also aligns with the humanitarian mission of the Red Cross to serve the most vulnerable with dignity and compassion. All items will be available at minimal rates, making it a reliable and affordable resource for those in need.
