TTD Gears Up for Tumburu Theertha Mukkoti in Tirumala on March 31, April 1

TIRUMALA, Mar 23: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has made elaborate arrangements for the annual Sri Tumburu Theertha Mukkoti scheduled to be held on March 31 and April 1 in Tirumala.

A review meeting was conducted on Monday by TTD Additional Executive Officer C.H. Venkayya Chowdary at the Sudharma Meeting Hall in the Padmavathi Guest House to assess preparedness for the event.

According to officials, devotees will be permitted to visit Tumburu Theertham strictly between 6 AM on March 31 and 10 AM on April 1.

To facilitate pilgrims, TTD will provide breakfast, Annaprasadam, and drinking water at Papavinasanam Dam with the support of over 100 Srivari Sevaks each day. Medical facilities including first aid centres, ambulances, medicines, and paramedical staff will also be deployed along the route.

As the pilgrimage involves a strenuous trek, senior citizens above 60 years and individuals suffering from heart ailments, respiratory issues, or obesity have been advised against undertaking the journey.

Devotees have been requested not to carry cooking materials, camphor, or matchboxes. Security will be tightened with coordinated efforts from the Police, Forest Department, and TTD Vigilance Wing from Papavinasanam to Tumburu Theertham. Signage boards will be installed to guide pilgrims along the route.

To regulate traffic and avoid congestion, only APSRTC buses will be allowed from Gogarbham Dam Circle to Papavinasanam, while private vehicles will not be permitted.

TTD has appealed to devotees to cooperate with the guidelines to ensure a safe and smooth pilgrimage experience.
