TSPC, NTC Tral delegation meets Div Comm Kashmir, DC Pulwama

JAMMU, Apr 20: A joint delegation of Temples Shrines Prabhandak Committee, Tral Awantiopora and Navdal Tirath Committee, Navdal Tral called on Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri and discussed the issues of Hindu shrines in the area with him giving main thrust on development of ancient Navdal shrine which is linked to annual Amarnath yatra since Puranic period.
The delegation informed the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir that orders issued by his office on September 7 last year have not been implemented till date.
The Divisional Commissioner after hearing the delegation forwarded the matter to DC Pulwama. The delegation later called on DC Pulwama and gave detailed information concerning various important religious places of historical significance viz Pingla Devi, Asthapan Pinglish, Tral, Kali Asthapan, Kronsbal, Tral, Manduri Devi Asthapan Mandura and Navdal Tirath Sathal, Navdal, Tral.
The delegation demanded rejuvenation and development of Navdal shrine which has highest importance because of culmination of Annual holy Amarnath Ji yatra. Concern was expressed over the encroached springs and illegal construction on the shrine land.
The delegation demanded that services of archeologists, geologists, hydrologists and scientists be utilized for rediscovering the remaining springs that existed in the area before the onset of disturbances.
The DC Pulwama taking prompt action issued immediate instructions to the officers concerned for mitigating the genuine issues concerning the minority community.
The delegation was led by Dr Ramesh Bhat, president TSPC. He was accompanied by Sanjay Raina, in charge Navdal, Tirath Committee, Veer Ji Raina secretary, NTC, , Durga Nath Bhat, M K Tickoo and Deepak Razdan social activists.
