Trustee takes stock of Shivratri arrangements in Raghunath Temple

JAMMU, Jan 30: Trustee, J&K Dharmarth Trust, Martand Singh today visited historical Raghunath Temple and took stock of the arrangements for the forthcoming Shivratri Festival.
He directed the officials of Dharmarth Trust for preparation of Shivratri Festival in all the temples across the Jammu region including Sudh Mahadev, Purmandal, Utter Behni and Ranbireshwar Temple in Jammu.
Martand said that Maha Shivratri is a prominent Hindu festival which is celebrated with enormous zeal and enthusiasm in various parts of the country. “On this auspicious day, people in large numbers, throng to the temples and offer prayers to Bhagwan Shiva and Maa Parvati,” he said, adding that it’s our prime responsibility to provide all sorts of facilities to the devotees so that they may not face any inconvenience.
Earlier, he performed traditional Pooja of Maa Saraswati in the temple and prayed for the peace and prosperity of the newly carved Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Martand hoped that Basant Panchmi which heralds spring and celebrates learning, spurs people to expand the frontiers of education and knowledge in families, society and the country. He also served Halwa among the devotees.
Later, the Trustee visited the temple complex and took stock of the functioning of the Temple. Secretary, J&K Dharmarth Trust, Dr Sat Pal and Additional Secretary Varinder Singh Jamwal also accompanied the Trustee.
