KATHUA, Dec 26: Tightening against around unscrupulous elements indulged in unlawful smuggling of fire/fuel wood outside UT of Jammu and Kashmir, Police and Forest Department seized two trucks loaded with fuel wood.
The vehicles, bearing number JK08M-8694 and JK02CR- 8391 were intercepted by Police and Forest officials. The loaded firewood was being smuggled using counterfeited Permits.
A case under relevant sections has been registered in this regard at Range Office Jasrota and confiscation proceedings under section 52 of IFA, 1927 was initiated in the court of Authorised Officer(DFO), Kathua.
