JAMMU, Oct 31: A truck driver died in an early morning accident at Bikram Chowk area here today.
Around 4:10 AM, a truck (JK02BC-6504) driven by one Anwar Khan son of Abdul Ghani of Pouni, Reasi, collided with an unknown object, either vehicle or a road divider at Bikram Chowk area of Jammu district, resulting in severe injuries to driver, a police official said.
He was taken to Government Medical College Jammu, where doctors declared him as dead on arrival, he said.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the matter by registering a case under the relevant sections of the law at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and started further investigation into the matter.
