JAMMU, Feb 12: As a part of birth centenary celebrations of late Prof Ram Nath Shastri, Radio Kashmir Jammu in collaboration with Dogri Sanstha Jammu organized a Dogri Kavi Sabha, here today.
The poets who graced the symposium, included N D Jamwal, Jitendra Udhampuri, Sitaram Sapolia, Gyaneshwar, Darshan Darshi, Prof Shivdev Singh, Sanjay Vidrohi, Vijaya Thakur, Usha Kiran, Balwan Singh Jamoria, Kuldeep Kippi, O P Sharma Vidyarthi, and Rattan Bhardwaj. Parkash Premi conducted the Goshthi.
Station Director, Radio Kashmir Jammu, V K Sambyal, remembered the colossal of modern Dogri language and literature, Prof Ram Nath Shastri.
Programme Executive, Radio Kashmir Jammu, Anjana Badyal read out paper on life and works of Late Prof Ram Nath Shastri while president, Dogri Sanstha, Chhattarpal shared his views on the contribution of Prof Ram Nath Shastri towards modern Dogri.
The function was attended by a large number of writers, intellectuals, scholars, prominent citizens and family members and relatives of the Late Prof Ram Nath Shastri. The proceedings were ably conducted by Sr Announcer, Radio Kashmir Jammu, Ravi Kant Sharma.
