JAMMU, July 28: Maintaining that Gujjar and Bakerwal youth have to play a key role in reformation of nomadic society, the participants of a programme held here today stated that community youth are capable to work for building up their vibrant identity in the State.
The programme was organised by Tribal Research and Cultural Foundation and was presided over by Gujjar scholar, Dr. Javaid Rahi.
Rahi in his presidential address said that tribal communities have produced good administrators, IAS, KAS officers, politicians, writer etc.
He impressed upon the young generation of Gujjar-Bakerwal tribes to monitor Government development programme as well as schemes which are meant for them and utilise the same.
A brief cultural programme and question answer session was also held on the occasion.
Ishtiaq Misbah, Ghulam, Nazir Ahmed, Mehmood Ahmed and Chowdhary Sadiq also spoke on the occasion.
