RAJOURI, Dec 15: Continuing with its charitable activities, the TR Gupta Public Charitable Trust distributed warmers among the students of Govt Middle School Chad, here today.
The warmers like sweaters were handed over to all the 102 students of the school by Dr Ashok Kumar Gupta, Trustee and former HoD Paediatrics, Govt Medical College, Jammu, in the presence of other Trustees including Naresh Gupta, Kailash Langer and Manager of the Trust, Raman Pargal.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ashok Gupta advised the students to eat a healthy diet and avoid junk food, packed juices, cold drinks, etc.
He asked the students to eat homemade foods and inculcate a habit of eating seasonal vegetables and fruits.
“The Trust has fulfilled its commitment at the beginning of the winter, so that these students do not face the harsh winter without woollens,” he added.
Most of the students were found to be undernourished, stunted and anaemic. They were encouraged to regularly undergo deworming once every 6 months and use iron folic acid tablets, which are available at all the Govt Health Institutions.
The Trust thanked the school teachers and other staff for their tireless efforts and commitment in shaping the future of children, especially Master Ajay Sharma the main organizer.
The students presented a colourful cultural program.
They presented dance items and songs in different languages.
Melodious Gojri songs were sung by some students.
