Sir,
This is with reference to the news item “183 incharge AEEs, shifted in R&B” published in this newspaper on 15th June, 2013.
Though it is the prerogative of the administration to shift its any employee yet it is imperative to see that the transfere is not dislocated at the fag end of his service as it not only disturbs his personal and domestic life but also tells upon the Government work.
In the above said transferees a number are retiving within next few months. They are already facing lots of problems on domestic and official fronts. They are working in incharge capacity for the past several years and struggling for their regularisation well before their retirement. Their children are unsettled have no house to live after retirement, have ailing family members requiring constant medical attention etc. Such officials are inconsolidating mode preparing papers for their pension and other related issues lest they should suffer after retirement.
Humanity thus demands that their shifting order is revisited by those who are at the helm of affairs and a very compassionate view is taken by retaining those retiring within next one year at their present place of posting enabling them to look after their official and domestic issues properly and retire peacefully. This will be in the fitness of scheme of things.
Yours etc…..
