JAMMU, Nov 29: A comprehensive CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation) training session was conducted at the Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission Charitable Trust (SVMMCH), Ambphalla, in collaboration with the Post Graduate Department of Anesthesia, GMC Jammu.
A team from GMC Jammu, including Prof Anita Vig Kohli, Prof Renu Wakhloo and Dr Hina Saini, led the session and provided hands-on demonstrations to enhance life-saving skills among healthcare workers. Prof Kohli said CPR training is a responsibility that can make a crucial difference during emergencies.
All staff members of SVMMCH participated actively in the programme. Doctors present included Dr Arun Arora, Dr Rakesh Gupta, Dr Uttam Sharma, Dr Rajesh Gandotra, Dr Sardari Lal Fotra and Dr Pankaj Gupta.
Members of the SVMMCH Management Committee and key administrative officers, including Medical Director Dr Arvind Kohli, Medical Superintendent Dr Rabinder Rattan Pal and Hospital Manager Iqbal Deep Singh, also attended.
Dr Arvind Kohli said the mission aims to ensure that every team member is prepared to respond effectively during critical situations.
Dr Rattan Pal added that regular training programmes are essential for improving healthcare delivery.
The SVMMCH management expressed gratitude to the GMC Anesthesia Department for supporting the training and reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening emergency care.
