DODA, Oct 14: Police here today in collaboration with Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) organised a two-day training programme on investigation of NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) cases.
The training programme was organized under the supervision of SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta, with ASP Headquarters Doda, Mohd Aslam acting as the course coordinator and the event witnessed participation from over 50 Investigating Officers (IOs) from across District Police Doda.
Primary objective of the programme was to enhance investigative capabilities of the officers handling NDPS related cases.
Key focus areas included effective investigation procedures, proper documentation techniques, evidence collection methodologies and inter-agency coordination for robust enforcement.
Officers deputed by the NCB and the District Police Doda imparted comprehensive training sessions, sharing valuable insights and best practices drawn from real-case scenarios.
This marks the third such collaborative training initiative between District Police Doda and NCB each having contributed significantly to strengthening the district’s capacity to tackle narcotics-related crimes.
