Training on gender sensitization, forensic techniques concludes at SKPA

UDHAMPUR, Mar 1: A three-day training program on “Gender Sensitization and Forensic Training,” sponsored by the National Commission for Women (NCW), New Delhi, concluded today at S K Police Academy here today.
A statement said that 20 police officers and officials from across the Jammu and Kashmir participated in the training program that focused on enhancing participants’ understanding of women’s rights, promoting gender equality, and addressing gender-based violence.
It also provided valuable training in forensic techniques to help improve investigations and evidence collection.
Several experts delivered lectures during the program, including Shalini Sharma, Member of the Juvenile Justice Board Jammu; Meena Kumari, Central Administrator, One Stop Centre for Women, Udhampur; Amit Prakash Seghal, Senior PO at SKPA; Dr Ankush Mahajan, Assistant Scientific Officer at FSL Jammu; Pallavi Singh, NGO JKSPYM Jammu; and Police Officers from various departments.
The closing ceremony was graced by Rajinder Kumar Gupta, SSP, Deputy Director (Indoor Trainings), who was the chief guest.
In his address, Gupta emphasized the global importance of addressing gender inequality and urged the participants to advocate for gender equality in their communities.
The training course was coordinated by Tilak Raj, Inspector, with assistance from ASI Rajinder Singh.
