Train service resumes in Kashmir

SRINAGAR: Train service resumed this afternoon after remaining suspended since morning due to moderate to heavy snowfall, official sources said. Rail service was restored after snow was cleared on the track, officials said.
Earlier in the morning the train service from Banihal in Jammu region to Baramulla in north Kashmir was suspended as the track was under snow. Snow melted after sun appeared briefly for some time today.
However, there is forecast for more heavy to very heavy snowfall during the next 24 hours.This is for the second time the rail service in the valley was suspended due to snowfall during the past two weeks. (AGENCIES)
