TRAI assesses network quality across Agra City

NEW DELHI, Oct 27: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) released its Independent Drive Test (IDT) findings for UP West Licensed Service Area (LSA), covering extensive city routes during the month of September 2025, an official statement said today.
These drive tests were conducted under the TRAI regional office, Delhi, and designed to capture real-world mobile network performances across diverse usage environments:- Urban Zones, Institutional Hotspots, Public Transport Hubs, and High-Speed Corridors.
Between September 16-18, TRAI teams conducted detailed tests across 245.0 km of City Drive Test, 09 Hotspot locations, 1.0km of walk test, and Inter operator calling at 01 location.
Technologies evaluated including 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G reflecting the service experience of users across multiple handset capabilities and findings of IDT have already been intimated to all TSPs concerned.
The assessment in Agra included high-density neighborhoods such as Sikandra, Lohamandi, Khandari, Agra Cantt, Basai, Rohta, Laramda, Rambagh, Midhakur, Korai and Fathehpur Sikri etc.
TRAI also evaluated real-world conditions at Agra Bus Stand (Eidgah Bus Stand), Agra Cantt Railway Station, Agra Fort, Dayal Bagh Engineering College Agra, Delhi Public School Agra, District Court, District Hospital, Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University Agra and Tomb of Akbar.
The walk test, conducted on September 18 in AgraCity, focused on, Taj Mahal, capturing mobile network behaviour in crowded pedestrian environments.
