KATHUA, Feb 18: The Traffic Police Kathua, under the supervision of DTI Kathua, Rakesh Kumar, conducted a special enforcement drive against traffic violators in Ghati and adjoining areas of Kathua district, focusing particularly on motorcyclists riding without valid driving licences.
During the operation, officials seized seven motorcycles for violations related to the absence of valid driving licences and other traffic offences. A total of 55 challans were issued for multiple violations, including the use of pressure horns, overloading of passengers, triple riding without helmets, wrong parking, and other breaches of traffic regulations.
The drive was part of the ongoing efforts by the traffic police to enhance road safety and ensure strict compliance with traffic rules across the district.
