KATHUA, Feb 13: In a major drive to enforce traffic regulations, Traffic Police Kathua conducted special checking operations by setting up nakas at various locations across the district.
During the enforcement campaign, a total of 60 challans were issued for different traffic violations.
As part of the action, one Alto Car and three motorcycles were seized for serious violations and non-compliance with traffic norms. Additionally, two trucks were challaned for using prohibited pressure horns, which pose a risk to public safety and contribute to noise pollution.
Officials stated that the drive was aimed at ensuring strict adherence to traffic laws, including verification of documents, helmet compliance, and general road discipline.
The drive was launched by Deputy Traffic Inspector (DTI),Kathua, Rakesh Kumar.
