Traffic enforcement drive conducted on Pulwama-Tahab road

PULWAMA, May 20: In order to ensure road safety and strict adherence to traffic regulations, a special drive was conducted near Girls Higher Secondary School, Tahab Road, Pulwama today.
The drive was conducted under the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Pulwama and ARTO Pulwama.
During the drive, more than 50 vehicles were checked; out of which 28 were e-challaned for various offences under MV Act and expected amount from e-challan is around Rs 38000.
In addition to that various sumo stand presidents with their drivers have been urged to follow regulations to avoid penalties and contribute to safer roads.
Officials have reiterated that such drives will continue unabated, sending a strong message to traffic violators that non-compliance will not be tolerated.
